Art Park Outdoor Exhibition

The Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center, Goldmark Cultural Center and the Bath House Cultural Center are pleased to announce their first ever open-air, family friendly art exhibition on the grounds of beautiful White Rock Lake, next to the Bath House.

Although we will not have a formal opening reception, the art will be on view October 5-18, 2020, during daylight hours.

The exhibition features close to 100 artists from the DFW area.  The art will be displayed outdoors on socially-distanced fence panels that meander through the live oak trees with a backdrop of White Rock Lake and the Dallas skyline.

Surely, you will recognize many of the participating artists from the White Rock Lake Artists Studio Tour, Creative Arts Center, Goldmark Cultural Center, The Mix, Urban Sketchers DFW, and Uke-a-Ladies!  The show also includes artwork by a number of children and, rumors abound, even a piece created by a dog!

The themes of the artwork were inspired by White Rock Lake and/or Nature.

Participating Artists: David Alkire, Ruda Anderson, Rita Barnard, Julia Bell, Lyla Bell, Savannah Bell, Rebecca Boatman, Kathy Boortz, Lynn Smiser Bowers, Jakob Brodnax, Janis Browning, Cleo Byrd, Brenda Catlett, Vicki Charlotta, Du Chau, Sharin Clark, Susan Paulson Clark, Nancy Cole, Stephanie Combs, Elaine Copeland, Sundee Corley, Lisa Covert, Henry Davila, Leslie Davis, Viola Delgado, Don Dixon, Betsy Doan, Jan Dreskin-Haig, David Farrell, Max Farrell, Nancy Ferro, Pamela Fine, Jacque Forsher, Merry Fuhrer, Julia Gibson, Ruth Ann Glover, Lin Gold, Niki Gulley, Jewell Harper, John Harper, Robert Harper, Berry Hawkins, Akarian Hicks, Rachel Hoehn, Clara Johnson, Barbara Jones, Larry Paul Jones, Jenny Keller, Kevin Koch, Eva Kustarne, Andrea Lamarsaude, Amy & Clara Lewis, Angie Livesay, Kathleen Lynch, Kathy Mackey, Laurie McClurg, Monique Mejan, Margo Miller, Eliana Miranda, Beverly Ann Moore, Ellen Moore, Laura Moore, Mr. Mo, Cole Newman, Nomaan Nur, Becky Phillips, Pat Porter, Robert Porter, Marty Ray, Richard Ray, G. Because of their strength and their ability to be displayed outdoors, all the works were created with acrylic paint and/or permanent markers on clear Plexiglass panels.  Added fun is that the panels are clear, so the art can be seen from two sides.

The Plexiglass panels have been provided by Blue Bonnet Framer and Art Gallery from scraps left over from framing projects.

The organizers of the exhibition express their thanks to the participating artists, as well as the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, District 9 Councilwoman Paula Blackmon, and Blue Bonnet Art Gallery and Framing for their wholehearted support in making this exhibition a possibility.
