ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

Artist Eva Azul will conduct a free art workshop that will introduce the students to the techniques of Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, and other Cubist artists, which will serve as inspiration for self-portrait paintings that will be created in class.

CLASS LOCATION

The workshop will take place in the lake-level space of the Bath House Cultural Center, at 521 E. Lawther Dr., Dallas, TX 75218 (White Rock Lake).

SUPPLIES NEEDED

  • The instructor will provide canvases, brushes, and acrylic paint.  Students can bring their own painting supplies if they wish. 
  • Students can bring printed photographs of themselves to be used as a reference for their paintings, or they can bring a mobile device or a mirror to capture their own image.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • The workshop will take place in the lake-level area of the Bath House Cultural Center.  There is no air conditioning in the lake-level, but the center will provide fans and coolers to keep the space comfortable.  
  • All the students are encouraged to maintain social distancing and wear face covering while they are in class.

CLASS REGISTRATION

This workshop is free, but space is limited to 20 students, ages 18 and older.  The students will be registered on a first-come-first served basis.
