The 116-seat Bath House theater is home to many of Dallas’ finest theater companies. From classics to cutting-edge works, the Bath House is one of Dallas’ premier alternative theater spaces.
One Thirty Productions
One Thirty Productions, in cooperation with the Bath House Cultural Center and the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, is Dallas’ one and only matinee theater series. You can see a matinee, make your reservation for a light lunch, stroll through the art gallery at the Bath House and be on your way home before you get caught in the evening traffic. Specializing in light comedies, One Thirty Productions produces plays that are “old fashioned” in the sense that they tell a good story, are filled with unforgettable characters, and don’t offend with questionable language and situations. Festival of Independent Theatres
Lawson Taitte, of the Dallas Morning News, praises the Festival of Independent Theatres (FIT) as “a highlight—often the highlight—of Dallas’ summer theatrical season.” Often recognized as one of the top ten theater events by Metroplex theater critics, FIT brings together Dallas’ diverse theater companies to present a month-long eclectic repertory of new, original, avant-garde, and rarely seen works.
