Storytelling in Solidarity is a community-building mixed-media event for those who stand in
solidarity with the world’s liberation movements. Through film, spoken word, poetry,
music, and visual art, community members from all different backgrounds share personal stories related to historical, current, local, and international initiatives to gain freedom and effect change in the world.

Storytelling in Solidarity brings together art, storytelling, and community which have all historically been an act of resistance against injustice. This is a hybrid open mic, art show, and curated event. Guests can sign up for open mic at the venue an hour before the show starts for a 10-minute slot. You can also submit your entry for short films and visual art to membersofyourcommunity.com/submitart.

Through this event, we hope to create a safe, accessible, and diverse space to share stories and art so the community may feel invigorated to speak up against injustice and feel empowered when connected with the collective. You can RSVP here.
