Dallas curator, Susan Lecky, and the Bath House Cultural Center invite artists to submit art entries for the 2025-2026 Ageless Passion juried exhibition that will be presented from December 6, 2025, to January 31, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY

Artists must be 65 years of age or older and reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to participate in the Ageless Passion exhibition. Artwork previously shown at the Bath House will not be accepted. Submissions that do not meet the stated requirements will be disqualified.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

The Ageless Passion exhibition returns for its third installment, shining a well-deserved spotlight on DFW artists who have joyfully crossed the age of 65. Too often, the art world focuses on the promise of youth, leaving the wisdom and creativity of seasoned artists in the background. This exhibition turns that around, celebrating their remarkable achievements, lifelong dedication, and lasting cultural impact.

There’s no set theme for the show—artists are simply invited to share recent works from any body of work they feel excited to present to the public.

This year’s exhibition is once again juried and curated by Dallas visual artist and independent curator Susan Lecky, who has brought together many successful exhibitions for the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.

MEDIA

Art in all media will be considered. All two-dimensional art must be properly wired and suitable for hanging. Three-dimensional art must be fully stable to stand on its own or be attached to a stable base that can sit securely on top of our pedestals. Artists whose work requires the use of electronic equipment (video players, projectors, audio devices, computers, etc.) must provide their own equipment.

There are no restrictions on the size of the artwork but bear in mind that artists are responsible for the transportation of their works and their prompt removal after the show closes.

SUBMITTING ENTRIES

An entry fee is not required. The curator will review photographs of completed artwork only and will select 50-60 pieces for the exhibition. Unfinished artwork will not be reviewed.

Entries must be submitted online at https://reviewstar.io/f/ageless25entries

Please review this prospectus in full before clicking the link.

Artists may submit a maximum of two works of art for the curator’s consideration. The Bath House Cultural Center will not accept files submitted on CDs, removable memory sticks, or by e-mail.

Our submission portal allows only one work of art per application. If you wish to submit multiple entries, please complete a separate application for each one.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE

Applicants are responsible for checking the results on our website. Please note that selection notifications will not be sent by email.

Please visit the Bath House Cultural Center’s Notification Page at https://bathhouse.dallasculture.org/notifications on Saturday, November 8, 2025, after 7 PM, to see if your artwork was selected.

PHOTOGRAPHING YOUR ARTWORK

Submit high resolution images. Unless your cell phone has a camera that takes high resolution images, we recommend that you use a regular camera to photograph your artwork. You can also refer to the Tips for Photographing Your Artwork HERE.

GALLERY AGREEMENT

The exhibition curator will make a final decision for the selection of entries for the show. The decision of the curator is final and indisputable.

Permission to photograph and reproduce accepted entries for promotional and educational purposes is considered granted unless otherwise indicated by the artist.

Submission of entries constitutes agreement to the conditions set forth above and in the Gallery Policy for Exhibitions. Download the policy using the link below:

Printed copies of the policy may also be obtained from the Bath House upon request.

SALES

The cultural center staff cannot accept payments for artwork. However, they may collect contact information from interested buyers and pass it along to the artists. All sales transactions must be handled directly between the purchaser and the artist or the artist’s official agent.

The Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center, a nonprofit organization that supports the Center’s programs, kindly encourages a 15% donation on all artwork sold during the exhibition.

DELIVERY, LIABILITY, AND INSURANCE

The Bath House Cultural Center will not display any accepted artwork that is delivered after the scheduled date of delivery. All artworks should be either shipped, at the artist’s expense, to and from the center or delivered and picked up in person. The center will not be responsible for damage, loss, or deterioration of any work while in transit. All reasonable care will be given to each work of art when received.

At its discretion, the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture will provide insurance for most artworks. However, some pieces may not be eligible for coverage. The Center is not responsible for damage caused by faulty hanging or installation hardware provided or installed by the artist. As an added safeguard, artists may also choose to obtain insurance through their own providers.
