ABOUT THE ART MART
Since 2003, the Art Mart has showcased the work of local and regional artists who work in a variety of styles, including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, textile art, jewelry, mosaics, glass, and other media. Proceeds of the Art Mart benefit the participating artists and the Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center, a not-for-profit organization that supports year-round visual and performing arts programs at the center.
The Bath House Cultural Center is a facility of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture that is dedicated to fostering the growth, development and quality of multi-cultural arts.
Learn more about these organizations by visiting their websites at www.friendsofthebathhouse.org and www.bathhousecultural.com.
SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS
By submitting an application to the Art Mart, artists agree to the terms and conditions outlined in these guidelines. All applications will be reviewed through a competitive juried process. We will only review applications received online. To be considered, artists must complete the online application using the link below and carefully read the guidelines before submitting.

IMAGES
Be sure to submit clear, high-quality photographs with your application, sized appropriately for review. Choose images that highlight both the uniqueness of your work and the range of styles or media you create. While not required, you may also include a photo of your booth setup.
JURYING OF APPLICATIONS
A Selection Committee reviews all applications and chooses approximately 55 artists for the event. Decisions are based on several criteria, including the quality, originality, and pricing of the artwork, with the goal of creating a diverse marketplace that represents a balance of artists and mediums.
Past trends indicate that Art Mart patrons show greater interest in artists who offer work in the low to moderate price range.
All committee decisions regarding artist selection and booth assignments are final and not subject to appeal.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE
Applicants are solely responsible for reviewing the results of the selection process. We will not send notifications to the artists.
Visit the Bath House Cultural Center’s Notification Page at https://bathhouse.dallasculture.org/notifications after 6 PM on the date shown on the Art Mart Schedule, to see if your application was approved.
BOOTH FEES
Booth fees are payable to the Friends of the Bath House Cultural Center after artists have been selected. Please refer to the Art Mart Schedule for payment deadlines. Accepted artists may pay by check or credit card.
Booths may only be set up once payment has been received. If a check is returned, the artist will not be permitted to participate, and the booth will be reassigned to another applicant.
TABLES, DISPLAYS AND EQUIPMENT
Artists must provide their own equipment for the display of their artwork (panels, tables, chairs, electrical chords, extra lighting, tablecloths, etc.). Adequate lighting will be provided in all booth spaces, but artists can also bring additional lighting devices of their own. Space heaters are not allowed.
HANGING ART ON THE WALLS
Artists may hang their work on the walls, except in the Lobby, Theater, and Lake Level areas, where the concrete walls cannot be used. Additionally, some Lake Level walls feature mural paintings that must remain visible and unobstructed.
Artists assigned to these restricted spaces must use movable panels, tables, racks, pedestals, or other portable display systems for their exhibits.
Artists are responsible for removing any hardware (nails, screws, hooks, staples, tape, wire, etc.) from the walls at the end of the event.
SHARING OF BOOTHS
Subleasing or sharing of booth space is not allowed. Multiple artists who represent one single art organization, however, are eligible to share a booth.
DONATED ARTWORK
The Art Mart will feature donated artworks from participating artists, each valued at $60. These pieces will be available for immediate purchase through Friends of the Bath House volunteers. Sale proceeds are split evenly: 50% goes to the artist and 50% supports the Friends of the Bath House. Unsold works will be returned to the artist.
This display serves to highlight each artist’s work and direct patrons to their booths for further exploration and purchases.
ONLINE ART MART SHOWCASE
Selected Art Mart artists will have the opportunity to be featured in an online showcase where the public can learn more about them and, if interested, purchase artwork directly. Each artist’s page will include 4–5 representative photos of their work, a description of the art and services offered, and prominent contact information with links to their online sales platforms.
The Friends of the Bath House will not handle transactions; artists are responsible for managing their own sales.
This showcase is designed to extend support for participating artists beyond the in-person Art Mart and to encourage continued sales.
The Friends of the Bath House and the Bath House Cultural Center will promote the online showcase through social media and newsletters, inviting patrons to visit and support the vendors. Unlike the physical Art Mart, which lasts only one weekend, the online showcase will remain live from Art Mart weekend through the end of February 2026. Participation is optional, with a $15 fee for inclusion.
SALES / WI-FI
Artists are responsible for conducting their own transactions and for taking care of their own sales taxes. The Art Mart does not take any fees from artists’ sales.
The Bath House Cultural Center offers a limited bandwidth Wi-Fi connection that enables artists to conduct online transactions.
BOOTH SPACE LOCATIONS
Booth spaces are available in the following areas:
- Theater (12 booths)
- Lobby (6 booths)
- Gallery Hall / ArtFlexSpace (8 booths)
- Main Gallery (10 booths)
- Classroom (5 booths)
- Lake Level (13 booths)
REQUESTING BOOTHS
Refer to the booth maps below for details on the size, location, layout, and price of each space. Keep these maps handy when submitting your application.
Applicants can list their top two preferred booth locations on the application. The committee will try to honor these preferences, but sometimes popular spots or the concentration of similar products in one area make it impossible. In such cases, an alternative booth will be offered. If the artist does not accept the assigned location, they can opt out, allowing another vendor to participate.
