Join Dallas artist Jane Cornish Smith for a demo and workshop, Creating Abstracted Landscapes with Cold Wax Medium on Saturday, July 26 at 2 PM at the Bath House Cultural Center. The workshop is in conjunction with Jane’s exhibition “Intertwined Detritus,” currently on display from July 5 – August 9, 2025.

Participants will observe how cold wax can be used on its own or mixed with oil paint in creating unique two-dimensional multimedia artworks on mineral paper. Nontraditional tools such as scrapers, wax paper, skewers, and more will be utilized, along with recycled papers and silt from White Rock Lake. Cold wax is a versatile and forgiving medium that allows for play and much imagination. Artists will have artworks to bring home and enjoy!
