Hee Yun Kim is a composer acclaimed for her diverse works across orchestra, concert band, chamber ensemble, chorus, and solo instruments. Her compositions are celebrated internationally, having been performed by prestigious ensembles and soloists. A laureate of the Pablo Casals International Composition Competition, Hee Yun’s music has been praised by Paris: La Lettre du Musicien for its “convincing” and “masterfully orchestrated” qualities.

Her latest album, Voyage Within, released by Ravello Records in December 2023, has garnered significant attention on NPR stations nationwide, affirming her prominence in the contemporary music scene. Among her upcoming projects is Strings Attached Across the Pacific, a unique ensemble of culturally varied string instruments selected for the 2024/2025 Elevator Project at the AT&T Performing Center.
