The Spring Equinox Celebration seeks to highlight the spring season and the natural world in the arts! The Bath House Cultural Center will host its Spring Equinox Celebration with family-friendly art activities on Saturday, March 16, 2025, from 12-3 PM.

We welcome guests to picnic on the lawn and under the trees behind the Bath House and enjoy the city skyline at White Rock Lake. There are some picnic tables in the park, but please bring your chairs, blankets, and snacks!

We’ll have family-friendly art activities throughout the building. Walk up activiites include mkaing cyanotypes, mobiles, and seed balls in clay! Ages 2 & up!

Join in at 2:00pm on the Lake Level to create a 5’x7′ community cyanotype mural with Corasonora!

Mitotiliztli Yaoyollohtli Danza Group welcomes the Mexica New Year Matlactli Ihuan Yei (13 Calli – Temple) and the Spring with a dance ceremony and ofrenda / offerings. Mexica danzantes will offer their kinetic prayer through drums, rattles, flutes and song. Come witness the centuries old ceremony from the Mesoamerican tradition.


Artist Talk with Eliana Miranda

Eliana Miranda @elianamiranda_art is a visual artist and co-founder of Nuestra Art Collective who currently lives in Dallas, TX. Most recently, her work has been featured in publications such as The Dallas Observer, KERA, and D Magazine. Her work is an exploration of current human migration issues. She investigates environmental and socio/political impact of the displacement of people. 

Join us for Miranda’s artist talk at 1:00pm, followed with a Q&A moderated by artist Iris Bechtol @irisbechtol.
